Muharram

A man came to the Prophet (PBUH) and said: ‘Which fasting is better after the month of Ramadan?’

He said: ‘The month of Allah which is called Muharram.’

1st Muharram 1st Muharram marks the beginning of the new Islamic Year and the migration of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from Makkah to Madinah. Prophet Nuh’s ﷺ arc landed on Mount Judi. Prophet Yunus ﷺwas removed from the belly of the whale. Prophet Isa ﷺ was born on Ashura and and ascended to the heaven on Ashura. Prophet Dawud’s ﷺ repentance was accepted. Prophet Abraham ﷺ was born. Prophet Yaqub's eyesight, which he had lost years ago was restored.
