Muharram
A man came to the Prophet (PBUH) and said: ‘Which fasting is better after the month of Ramadan?’
He said: ‘The month of Allah which is called Muharram.’

1st Muharram 1st Muharram marks the beginning of the new Islamic Year and the migration of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from Makkah to Madinah. The Day of Ashura The Day of Ashura is observed on the 10th Muharram and is considered across the Islamic Ages as the day on which many significant events occurred. Some of these significant events include: The forgivess of Sayyidina Adam ﷺ Allah bestowed Prophet Moses ﷺ the miracle of splitting the Red Sea, saved him with his people and flooded the Pharaoh and his soldiers. Prophet Nuh’s ﷺ arc landed on Mount Judi. Prophet Yunus ﷺwas removed from the belly of the whale. Prophet Isa ﷺ was born on Ashura and and ascended to the heaven on Ashura. Prophet Dawud’s ﷺ repentance was accepted. Prophet Abraham ﷺ was born. Prophet Yaqub's eyesight, which he had lost years ago was restored.
